Coconut popsicles - heaven incarnate

These are just one variety of tasty treat I have come to know and love here in Rio, and have tried to cram as many of them in as possible this morning. Guarana Diet, little balls of bread with cheese in them, queijo quente...MMM!!

My last morning in Rio was spent in the sunshine at the pool then at Ipanema beach. The Ipanema area is a much, oh, shall we say, more upkept area of the city and not as run down as Copacabana. Meandered through the shops and ended up enjoying a coconut on the boulevard before bidding it farewell.

Have just gathered all things and am ready to check out. Let me just say that the Orla Copacabana ROCKS THE CASBAH!! The location, staff, and (wait for it) SHOWERS have swayed me to stay no other place, if and when I return. Kudos to all.

Rio is beautiful, and am very much looking forward to visiting BRASIL again next August. The only thing I missed was a sunset under a palm on the beach...will have to work on that next time.
